Support

As full time missionaries, we depend on various types of support from people around us. We would like to tell you a bit more about the different ways of support, so that you´ll understand how it works and discover how you could support us.


Prayer

First of all, support in the form of prayer is extremely important!

Without the protection and power of prayer surrounding us, we would not be able to do our work effectively. Not only do we ourselves depend totally on God, because He is the One that equips us for the work and provides for everything we need; but the efficiency of the work we do with the children also depends totally on God´s intervention and His Holy Spirit. Real transformation and growth in the life of a child or teenager is God´s work!  He wants to use us, but it still is His work, and prayer is therefore essential!

We try to send out a short, monthly prayer letter for people who really want to dedicate some of their time to actively pray for us and the children we work with. If you would like to commit yourself to support us in prayer, please let us know (dot_wop@hotmail.com). 


Financial Support

As we work as volunteers at ABBA and don´t receive any salary, we totally depend on financial support from people around us. We´ve been living like this for the past 4 years and we can tell you that God has been a very faithful and caring Father to us during these years. God, who called us for this mission and daily equips us for the work, also takes care of us financially. He continually provides for our needs and He wants to use people like you to support us.

This way, we can see and very practically live out that we as Christians are one body: each one of us has his or her own place, task and responsibility in this body and together we make the body function in the right way, so that the kingdom of God will be build on this earth and God receives the honor and glory He´s due.

Every contribution is fundamental and each one of us can contribute using his or her own gifts and talents, serving with that which we have in our hands and are able to give away; whether this means that you will be active on the mission field yourself, or that you´ll pray or support someone financially, it is all very important and of eternal value.

Introducing our Home Front Team


Finally we would like to introduce you to our Home Front Team. This little group of people has been of great help and support to us during the last years, taking care of all kinds of practical things, which are difficult for us to take care of ourselves because of the big distance. Each one of them has their own specific task and responsibility within the Home Front Team. They take care of financial and paperwork issues, insurances; they are the ones that provide a nicely printed newsletter on everyone´s doorstep every time again, they organize prayer meetings and of course they themselves support us through prayer.
